Who is responsible for the cargo in transit?
The shipper retains responsibility for import/export compliance and cargo value. OBCquote is a facilitator only — not a logistics operator. The courier is an independent contractor. We strongly recommend arranging appropriate cargo insurance for valuable shipments.
How quickly can I expect bids?
Most jobs receive their first bid within a few hours of posting, depending on the route and timing. Popular routes (e.g. Europe–Middle East, Europe–Asia) typically attract multiple bids within 24 hours.
What types of cargo can I ship?
Any cargo that can be legally transported as hand luggage or checked baggage on commercial flights — documents, pharma samples, automotive parts, electronics, fashion samples, and more. Dangerous goods (DG) shipments require couriers with appropriate DG certifications, which are shown on their profiles.
How does the escrow and payment work?
When you accept a bid, the agreed amount is charged to your payment method and held in escrow. Once delivery is confirmed — either by your confirmation or automatically after 24 hours with no dispute — the funds are released to the courier. If there's an issue, you have a 24-hour window to raise a dispute.
Can multiple people at my company use the account?
Yes. Company accounts support multiple users with role-based permissions. Admins can invite logistics managers and viewers, manage billing, and see all jobs across the organisation. Each user has their own login but shares the company profile and job history.
What if the courier doesn't deliver on time?
You can raise a dispute within 24 hours of the expected delivery time. Our team will review the case and mediate. If the courier fails to deliver, escrow funds are refunded. Couriers with repeated issues are removed from the platform.
